My first wedding for the season!
And it was a super sweet affair with only 30 guests to celebrate the nuptials of lovely Martine and Chris. The couple met in Doha on work and both live in Malaysia now but held the wedding in Perth so that their family and friends could attend, as they had both lived here prior to their travels. It was particularly special for Martine’s mother to be able to do a reading during the moving ceremony, which was held at Wesley Chapel (where Martine had taught many years ago) and began with Chris walking ‘up’ the aisle to ‘The Power of Love’ – definitely the best power ballad to start the day! Hearing that come on the loud speakers made me realise I was in for a fun and romantic day 🙂 Chris circled Martine and with a tear in her eye they walked down the aisle together. Bliss!
Following the close knit ceremony I followed the newly weds to UWA for a late afternoon photoshoot then the seated reception was held at my favourite local haunt the West End Deli; decorated romantically with white candles and red flowers to suit Martine’s hair and dress. So pretty! The couple head back home this weekend to start their lives together in marriage and I wish them all the best.
Here’s a select few favourites from the half day shoot…
